Week 5 of study abroad!

Hi guys, I hope everyone is doing well. This week throughout the weekdays I was pretty stressed because I had my last quiz and final exam for my forensic psychology class. Thankfully, after much studying everything went well and I did good enough to keep a good grade in the class because we still have to turn in a research paper and do a presentation on that paper next week, so I want as much cushion for my grade as possible. Other than that, I utilized the extra time this week to study for the LSAT because since next week is my last week in Florence I decided that I would not study for the LSAT, so that I can focus on having fun and enjoying my last days of study abroad. If you are planning on studying abroad I will say just live in the moment and have fun, it is okay to fall off track a few days just because you want to take in more of the experience, give yourself that time!

Another cool thing I did this week was go to this Cuban bar that is by the Arno River. I really wanted to go here because since I am Cuban I wanted to see how it was. Turns out, the place is really fun, they have a dance floor, food, and even seats so you can can lay by the Arno River at night and relax. The place is called Habana 500, and if you are ever in Florence you should check it out for a cultural experience. Also this week, I went to see an orchestra preform and it was a wonderful experience, if you are into classical music I highly recommend doing this while you are here. Furhtermore, in the weekend I went to Rome. I absolutely fell in love with Rome, there is so much to see and do. I loved Rome so much that I would not mind living there for a few years of my life. While I was there, I got see the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Castel Sant’Angelo, Piazza Novana, Vatican City, The Colosseum, and the Roman Forum. Sadly, I could not go inside St.Peters Basilica because of the long lines, but I am happy with everything else I saw. Every place was beautiful, I highly recommend going to the famous spots like Vatican City and Colosseum, they do not disappoint, but also make sure to see Piazza Novana, it was very nice and there is a fountain there that is very pretty. Overall, I would go back to Rome if I could because there was so much to do. I will say that if you are planning on going, it is a lot of walking, but you can use public transportation to get around and I highly recommend that.
