Bonjour Paris!

My friends and I traveled to Paris, France on the third weekend of the trip. We traveled from the Florence Airport at around 7AM and arrived at Orly Airport in Paris at around 9AM. It was a quick flight since the two countries are close to each other. I’ve never been to Paris before, and only heard thing about it. I heard that Paris is called “City of Love”, and people there dress pretty nice. My first impression of Paris is that it feels quite pleasant to be there. We did not expect the weather to be in the 60-ish degree Fahrenheit when we got to Paris, so we had to go buy ourselves jackets.

Paris was very glamourous. I love the architecture style of the buildings; they are spectacular. The city itself is full of beautiful apartments; each of them has a different style that contribute to beautify the city of Paris.

We visited the Louvre; it is quite magnificent place. I’ve seen it in the show Lupin on Netflix, but in real life it looks bigger. Unfortunately, I did not go down into the museum in the pyramid.

My favorites are Arc de Triomphe and the Eiffel Tower. Arc de Triomphe is a very interesting arch. It was created to honor the soldiers who fought and died for France. There is a tomb of the unknown soldiers from World War I on the ground floor, and military parades begin at the arch. In order to cross to the arch, we had to do it via underground since it is located in the middle of a busy road. I can see the whole city of Paris on the top of the arch.

The Eiffel Tower is also a famous must-visit place in Paris. Tickets are surprisingly cheap; they are only 9.90 Euro for access stairs up to second floor and take an elevator up to the top. The prices are different if you choose other options like taking only elevators, and also if you are above 24 years old, prices will be more expensive. Nonetheless, it was worth it to climb the tower for the sake of proving that you did so. The Eiffel Tower is obviously much taller than Arc de Triomphe, and I can see the whole city of Paris from three-hundred meters above the ground. Although the area around Paris at night can be unpleasant, I can say I had a good time in Paris with friends.
