To be completely honest, Florence was not what I expected it to be when I first arrived here. I do not know how to describe it, but the setting and the vibe I expected just weren’t there. I’ve seen the city’s images on Google and expected it to be “different.” However, the city itself is very beautiful on its own way. It is very rich historically and culturally. Almost every building in the central area has a history: the Dome, Palazzo Gondi, Palazzo Vecchio, etc; and that did not include many different small buildings around the city, such as shops, apartments, restaurant. Even my apartment is an old building that has history I am not aware of.
The Ponte Vecchio bridge is just so fascinated to me for some reason. In my opinion, during the night is when it is the prettiest; I like to look at the bridge at night, when all the lights from the little shops are on that make the bridge looks magnificent. Florence is full of arts and architectures: the Uffizi Gallery, Palazzo Vecchio, the National Museum of Bargello, especially the Duomo. The place that would allow one to observe the total view of Florence is Piazzale Michelangelo. On the top of Piazzale Michelangelo, one can see pretty much the entire city of Florence and its magnificent architectures.
