Bye Tampa, Ciao Florence!

Hi guys! My name is Tammy Huynh. I’m excited to say that will be kicking off my second half of summer studying at Florence University of the Arts! I was lucky enough to be selected as a recipient for the Genshaft/Greenbaum Passport Scholarship and I cannot thank President Genshaft enough for giving me an opportunity to experience this amazing journey.

To start off, I am currently a senior majoring in Finance at the University of South Florida, as a finance student, one of my goals is to gain a diverse and international perspective in the business world. By doing that I decided to study abroad to Italy to have a deeper understanding of Italian traditions and the evolution of food and wine culture, which I can use the skill that I have learned to communicate with employees from different backgrounds to have a better understanding of the global atmosphere.

With these circumstances, choosing to study abroad in Italy will offer me a unique opportunity to learn concepts in a novel way – namely, through the lens of a different culture and have an eye-opening experience as Italy offers historical landmarks, beautiful natural scenery, and unique regional and local cuisines.

As I have been counting down the days to leave for Italy and it has finally reached the day before my departure date as I can’t believe that I will be leaving in a few hours.

Other than that, I will be tagging you guys along with me to Italy!

Tammy Huynh 🙂
