Giulio Bistrot Wine Bar
Piazza del Duomo, 35r, 50122 Firenze FI
If you are searching for yummy pasta and friendly service with an amazing view of the
Duomo head over to Guilo Bistro Wine Bar. I really enjoyed the rich flavor of the pesto from
the Trofie al pesto dish. Every time my friends and I go to this restaurant, I get that dish.
Another dish that is great as well is the Spaghetti alla carbonara. The spaghetti dish is so
creamy and delicious, and has my friends excited to keep going back. Both waiters I have
had are extremely friendly and they gave me an excellent recommendation for the Trofie
al pesto dish, which has quickly become a favorite dish of mine.
Venchi Cioccolato e Gelato
Via dei Calzaiuoli, 65/R, 50122 Firenze FI
Craving a creamy and rich chocolate flavored for those hot days under the Florence sun?
Venchi is the place to go. Right when you walk inside the store you can see right away how
many flavors of gelato, cones, cups and toppings the store has. The staff was very
knowledgeable about every flavor of gelato and gave us samples of the flavors I was
curious about. I got the Tiramisu flavored gelato with colorful sprinkles in a perfectly sized
cup. Vencchi’s is definitely the place to go to when you want quality gelato.
Piazzale Michelangelo, 50125 Firenze FI
Want the best view of Florence from above? Take a taxi to Piazzale Michelangelo (unless
you want to take a steep hike). A taxi will cost you around 11 euros to take you from your
apartment to the plaza, and you will arrive in about 15 minutes. Once you reach the top, the
view of Florence is unlike any other view of a city. This plaza offers a view of everything
from Santa Croce to the Duomo to the beautiful mountains on the surrounding edges of the
Italian countryside. Piazzale Michelangelo is definitely a must see the day you arrive to
see you in the next post!
