The Irish experience

My experience in Ireland led to my reflection on how people feel about government sovereignty. Ireland is a liberal utopia. Everyone recycles, in every home is a different trash can for different recyclable material. There are separate trash cans on all streets to separate trash, organic material, recyclable waste, etc. Ice is not served in any or your drinks, straws are not really a thing, all the food is locally sourced, free range and organic. The only corporations I saw in dublin were certain retail stores, Mcdonalds and Burger King. Everything else was locally owned and cultivated. Farmers were very important to society due to how important Irish cuisine is to tourism, local eateries and people putting food on the table for their families. There are bike lanes everywhere, people either are walking or biking. The public transportation across the entire country is amazing! They are an ideal model for sustainability. Our world is going green, however slowly, I assume the Irish motto is, “the quicker we get there, the better.” I was impressed by every practice. Everyone’s attempt to reduce, reuse and recycle. Communities and countries across the world could learn a thing or two from the Irish about green living
