It’s week four here in Florence Italy and I find myself setting up to write about another weekend trip to a different city in Italy. I guess what they say about the travel bug really is true, once you start, you really can’t stop! This weekend I found myself in one of the most desired places of travel; Rome, Italy! I’m not going to lie to you, I did not have much expectation for this particular trip as I did for others. Rome, to me, seemed like it would be too over crowded and not as impressive as I built it up in my head. Well, I would just like to say, I WAS WRONG! Rome was one of the most beautiful and inviting cities I had ever visited in my life. While it was sort of crowded and extremely hot, I was more than taken back by the beauty and architecture that was all around me. Between the Colosseum and the Pantheon, the Trevi Fountain and the Vatican, Rome was nothing short of extravagant and mesmerizing. Since this was only a day trip, we only had about 8 hours to take on the city which, to us, would be no problem at all. We saw all the major sites there are to see in a matter of six hours and even had time to spare when getting back to our train. I was completely in love with this city and all of the history which it was built on, and I think it’s safe to safe I will most certainly be back again.
Until next time,
