Welcome To The Blog!

Hiya, or Hello everyone and welcome to the first post that’s part of my Going Places blog. My name is Mohamed Kharseity and I am a Sophomore at the University of South Florida. I am so excited for this trip as it is going to be my first time ever out of the country. I am a humbled to say that I am a recipient for the Global Citizens Award and am very excited to share my experience with you all. I am a Biomedical Sciences major and am going on my very first Study Abroad trip which is called USF in London. The trip is going to last, all together, about 4 weeks which might feel like eternity for someone who’s never left the country like me.

Now, I know I’ve said that I’ve never left the country therefore the first thought that comes to mind is how inexperienced I might be but that’s quite the contrary, I am an avid traveler… Inside the United States, that is. I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas (GO COWBOYS!) where I spent a lot of my time, and school holidays, traveling throughout the United States. Thanks to my lovely parents, I’ve had the opportunity to visit California, Chicago, New York, Las Vegas, and Florida of course. Still, no matter how much travel I do, I still don’t know what’s in store ahead of my trip to Europe.

Words cannot even begin to describe how excited I am for this trip. I’ve prepared and packed, and packed, and packed, again and again and again. I hope to get a lot out of this trip in hopes that it will do some good to my growth as a person both inwards and, reflectively, outwards. For now, I’ll be as ready as I’ll ever be. See you all again very soon in my next post!

Selfie Time!
