It is Day 99. I am in my room now, gathering the rest of my belongings into my suitcases. Today is my final day in Oxford. I completed all of my exams the week before and had a lovely dinner with my flatmates the night before as well. I said my final goodbyes to Oxford as I loaded my things into my uncle’s minivan. I planned to stay in London until after Christmas with my family- my mother grew up in London so her parents, siblings, and cousins are all residents of England. This trip was more than I can imagine. I was able to do something most could only dream of- live in one of the most historical cities in the entire world. Oxford is ancient, filled with history that dates back centuries. I touched the walls that housed many important literary giants such as C. S Lewis and J. R. R. Tolkien. I visited sites where Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson played the roles of Harry Potter and Hermione Granger. I walked these cobblestone streets that were built in 1000 AD. I was happy to have another week in London but I was still upset to say farewell to a city that I have come to know as home these past 99 days.
