Adios, Panama

As I sit in the airport waiting for my flight to board. I can’t stop thinking about how amazing this experience was and all I’ve learned. Coming to Panama, I was excited to bring my skills and give my all to Panamanians. What I didn’t know is that I would get something much greater from them. I have been immersed  into their culture and made many new relationships with both University of Panama nursing students as well as with my faculty allowing me to grow personally and professionally. A couple of days ago, I had the opportunity to go to visit a school in Chepo where we vaccinated students with influenza and educated them on Zika virus, sexually transmitted diseases and gastroenteritis. Overall, this has been a very rewarding experience, and I am looking forward to coming back.

See you later, Panama!
