Wow, I can’t believe this is it.
Today I leave the beautiful city I have gown to absolutely adore. Florence will forever hold a special place in my heart. This study abroad experience has taught me so much not only about myself, but also about others and the all of the people around me. I now understand the phrase “a small fish in a big pond”. Studying abroad makes you realize how small you are in the grand scheme of things, and how there is so much more in the world outside of my little bubble back in Tampa. Of course, I do miss that little bubble and miss home (and especially my dog), but I know as soon as I’m back in Tampa I’m going to be wishing myself right back into my not air-conditioned, small apartment that lacks wifi on Via Porta Rossa more than anything. This experience has definitely caused me to catch the travel bug.
I now know what it means to fully live life. Thank you Florence.
These next 10 days I will continue to travel around Europe and hopefully discover more things about myself and create more life long memories. Austria, here I come!
(I will post pictures to all of my blog posts as soon as I have good wifi! I have had major wifi/computer issues the past six weeks!)
Until next time,
